About Fiona
Kids Occupational Therapist

Hi, I’m Fiona Pawley — a mobile kids’ OT based in Attadale (Whadjuk Noongar Country). I visit schools to support kids where they learn and play.
As a mum of two primary school-aged kids, (one who is an ADHDer), I’m passionate about supporting neurodivergent kids and fostering environments where they feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

Approach to Therapy
My therapy approach is child-led, playful, and grounded in connection rather than compliance, creating a safe and supportive space where children feel understood and valued. I believe that growth happens through relationships and joy, so I use each child’s unique interests to guide our sessions. I also consider the environments around the child — at home, school, and in their community — and work closely with caregivers to support consistency, confidence, and meaningful progress across settings.

Connection & Coregulation
Connection and coregulation form the foundation of every occupational therapy session — building trust and genuine engagement so children feel safe to learn and grow.

Neuroaffirming
I use a neuroaffirming approach that celebrates each child’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world. I focus on building on children's strengths, adapting activities and environments to support their individual needs, and helping them feel understood, confident, and valued for who they are.

Collaboration
Collaboration is key. I work together with children, families, and other professionals in a child’s life to create goals and strategies that align with their everyday experiences. By sharing ideas and celebrating progress as a team, therapy is more meaningful, practical, and connected to daily life.

Helpful Answers
Find answers to common questions about mobile kids occupational therapy and my approach to supporting children's development below. Please email me if you have any other questions.
How do I know what's happening during sessions if I'm not there?
After each session, I provide a brief email summary of what we focused on, how your child went, and any progress I’ve noticed. I also share simple ideas or strategies you can try at home to help support your child’s goals between sessions.
How many sessions will my child need and how often?
I usually recommend weekly sessions for a term (around 8–10 weeks) to give your child consistent support and the best chance to make progress. At the end of the term, we’ll review their progress together and decide whether further sessions are needed.
